Student Prerequisites

• Minimum age: 6 years old

• Swim Skills: SSI Beginner II or equivalent (40 ft independent swim with stroke of choice)

• Swim Assessment:

  • Swim 55 yards unaided or 110 yards with mask, snorkel, and fins

  • No time limit; must be continuous without stopping or standing

• Survival Float:

  • Float or tread water for 5 minutes (face must remain clear of the water)
